AboutSivaSakthy Fine Arts was the creative vision of late Mr. Vinayagamoorthy Kanagaratnam. It was founded in 1993 in Toronto by his three daughters, Smt. Inthumathy Parathan, Smt. Kawsalya Rajakumar and Smt. Mathumathy Sivakumaran. The academy is committed to providing excellence in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music. Throughout the years, the students of SivaSakthy Fine Arts have performed at various locations in Canada and USA by showcasing many of their dance and musical productions. The productions include, – Performance at FeTNA (Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA) in Florida, USA – Annual “Tamil’s Day” at Canada’s Wonderland Furthermore, SivaSathy Fine Arts has created many great classical dances and contemporary dances with varying Hindu Epics to Tamil Literature to modern fusion. These creations include: – Kannan Piranthan , Meenatchi Thirumanam and to Ramaayanam “Rama Namana” – The tamil fables, “Snake and the Hunter” – The contemporary Productions: – East Vs West dance, students were showcasing two types of dancing style (classical and modern/hip pop) – Canadian four Seasons – South Asian twist of the Disney Fairy tale, the Beauty and the Beast. SivaSakthy Fine Arts take pride and ownership in fostering and training the younger generation of students as being the ambassadors of the long history of Tamil’s culture and values.
